Is it really unlimited?

I'm thinking of purchasing AT&T's $20 unlimited messaging plan for my phone but i just wasnt sure if when it says unlimited if it's really unlimited or if theres a hidden cutoff

how many txts are you doing a month? i can't get over 200 txt a month such a pain in the ass to be txting everywhere i go.

my son has 3000- 4000 texts sent and recieved a month, yes, it really is unlimited,, thank god. or I would kill him.
