All Audacity does is let you take ANY mp3 you have and cut out a clip of how ever long you want it to be. 30 secs is recommended. So it really doesn't matter if your on AT&T as long as you have some way of moving an mp3 file from your computer to your phone. I have only had 1 LG phone and it didn't use mp3 ringtones so I've never had the chance to try to transfer an mp3 to one.

Another great thing about Audacity is that it runs under Linux. My LG CU405 uses MP3s which I can transfer using bluetooth...
