Donate your old phone

I know like many of you there is a nice collection of old phones sitting collecting dust in a showbox somewhere in your closet. What to do with all those old phones? I would suggest you donate it to a charity that can re-use them for a womens shelter or similar

Here is a link I found that can help:

Yeah that's a great cause. I remember in the UK not so long back several supermarket chains ran a collection of old mobile phones for charity, think a couple of my old models went that-a-way.

I'll be sure to add a few more links if I come across anywhere else that is collecting.

What do they do with your old phones? A phone without a network plan is kinda just a paperweight...

Yes, I have done this with some of my old phones and also have been able to resell them. Does anyone have an idea why other people or companies would want to buy used, broken, and old phones? I didn't bother to ask the gentleman who purchased my old phones from me.

Also, almost any old phone that is not even activated can still call 911, EVEN gsm phones with no simcard....

I think that's a great idea, a wonderful use for phones that are just collecting dust in a box or something.

I bought an old analog in a carrying bag at a yardsale for $1, just to see what was up with them. My goodness how phones have changed in the short time they've been out! To get back to donating used phones, I'm pretty sure no one would want one of those. LOL
