Motorloa Razr 2 V9 - Authentication-and Pic Mail Issues


I bought a UNLOCKED Motorola RAZR 2 V9. The phone was unlocked by Motorola. Here are the problems I am having. Please know there are no problems on the ATT end. All my settings are correct and my account is properly providioned.

1. I can receive picture mail-I cannot send any. It gets locked in a wierd loop...I cannot send.

2. I am unable to access the 3G network. I have it. The phone supports it. I can nly access EDGE and 2.5 G.

3. I am able to access MediaNet on ATT and did 3 downloads: 1 theme, 2 games. The theme downlaoded and installed perfectly. The games downloaded but refused to install and give me an "Unable to Authenticate" error. ATT cannot find any reson for this and they think it is as wierd as I do.

4. The Software Update Option on this phone-I click it on goes to Motorola and not ATT and then gives me Authentication error and directs me to service provider. OK ATT finds not one thing wrong and I know my settings are OK....

Any ideas...would appreciate it.

did you report the serial number of your phone to att?

if not press *#06#and copy down the numbers on the screen... call 611 and have your device type updated (will cure some of your problems)

on your sim card is there a 3g and a fireball?

if not that is your problem... you need a sim this is easily replaced thru customer care or at a store

if there is a fireball on your sim you got phone problems ... personall I think its a combination of IMEI mismatch (your serial number) and an EDGE sim... these are typical data errors when you have an EDGE sim and a UMTS device as the situation that you are in
